Project description: "The story of Faith, a girl who loses her father when she is eleven years old. When a suicide attempt after his funeral fails Faith is convinced that she has proved there is no God. The film picks up with Faith at eighteen and rebelling against her mother and Catholic school society. When Faith gets expelled from school her mother Christina suggests she go live with her cousin Phoebe in Philadelphia and try to find something in this life that will make her happy. When Faith gets to Philadelphia she discovers that the life she thought she wanted does not make her happy either. So she is left questioning who she truly is and what she believes."

A narrative short film exploring the transition from unprotected childhood to adulthood. An impoverished but headstrong teenager embarks on a potentially self-destructive path when she attempts to sell sexual favors to support herself in Rockaway, Queens, NY.
SEEKING: [ TERESA ] A petite powerhouse with delicate features. Teresa had escaped to live with her grandmother within the past couple of years after being sexually abused by her stepfather unbeknownst to her mother. Her grandmother has just died and she now faces the struggle of supporting herself while grieving a great loss. (Female, Caucasian, 17 in appearance, partial nudity required, sexual situations. MUST BE 18+.) [ DONOVAN ] Local deli store worker. He is in love with Teresa but their age gap and her unpredictable behavior has interfered with him having the nerve to openly express it. His affection runs deep for her but Teresa takes advantage of his good heart when desperation sets in. (Male, Caucasian or Mixed ethnicity, 20s) [ MITCH ] A lonely bar owner and divorcee, he becomes the object of Teresa's misguided efforts to raise money in exchange for sex. His natural charm and honesty is refreshing. For rehearsing a short play we are working on to take to Washington DC for 4 days in February
We are a performance group- (XXXXX.net) a non profit arts group of 30 year old men in Bushwick/brooklyn are doing a 3 night show in Washington DC on Feb 10, 11, and 12 called Adventures in The OK Skin Trade. 4 actors. A 25 minute piece.
Looking to fill a big role for a girl that we are looking for a cool as shit talented actress to be in it. If u are free and interested let me know and we will send u the script. We will rehearse 2 nights a week ( with a weekend day added possibly ) over the next 5 weeks.
we rehearse/live here in Brooklyn, but yes- we are taking the show to D.C. For 3 nights in Feb.
In DC we were invited to be a part of a festival so they are providing transportation and lodging fees for us. We will rehearse in Bushwick and in the Village and drink alcohol probably as we rehearse. It's a bizarre piece. (Sounds it.) The character we had u in mind for is "the matron" - a listless young woman of dubious trade ( something of a nurse or prostitute ) (Nursing is dubious? And akin to prostitution? I never knew...) addicted to doses of liquid opium, dressed in tassels (Where are the tassels placed? This might be an important point to clarify...), sequins, & garters of a bygone era, wears an eye patch, & a mysterious birth mark on her forehead. The other 3 characters are all men. Their names are "the baron", "the rustler", and "the auctioneer"....
We'll rehearse Thurs and Sun nights for the next 5 weeks which should suffice for a 20-25 minute play. No set, but quite elaborate costumes. Will send a script via email for consideration.
we are wild, ridiculous fine young gentlemen artists who do not care about a lot of the things some 'new' theatre people who have come to NYC to care about. (Like maintaining a professional, trustworthy working environment that is safe for females?) There's no payment aside for accommodation and credit for this. That being said, we might be good for your resume (we've got a legitimate and cool NYC Indy theatre cred) but more importantly we are smart, fucked up, sweet artists doing real fun stuff and it is always a positive life in art experience taking an adventure.

SALLY DOGS: Angelo has risen to the head of his crime family by only trusting one man. Sally Dogs. A distinguished man in his late 50's early 60's.. When Albert and Rosco try to go to Amsterdam to continue the scheme, Sally is there to keep an eye on them. Sally hasn't decided if he's in Amsterdam to catch Dion and his friends or to put Albert in his place for good. Cast: Ronnie The Rottweiler (At first I was like, "Oh no - is this another "Cats & Dogs" movie? But I think this might be an actual human...? Diamond Entertainment Productions is currently accepting headshot and resumes from non-union actors for its upcoming short film production tentatively entitled Alana. Filming is intended to begin late April/early May. Auditions are tentatively scheduled for early April. At this time, all roles are unpaid. Alana: Female Lead Alana is a Caucasian female that will be portrayed from age 16 to 25. She follows the arc of good girl gone bad going from an honor roll student to an exotic dancer/prostitute. Her path from one side to the other is unique, painful, dark, and deadly. This role is a very challenging and demanding role...and also very cliche and has been done to death. The actress for this role must be able to cry on cue, have a dynamic emotional range, an be willing to film sexually explicit scenes (nothing pornographic) which require nudity. He is the well to do absentee father of Alana. A solid businessman, Kyle is upper-middle class, likes to keep in shape, and appear above his status. Samantha: Female Supporting Samantha is a Caucasian female in the age range of 50-55. She is the mother of Alana who's been too self absorbed in her own misery to tend to her daughters growing pains. Samantha has always been a housewife and never ventured into the work force. She lives off her alimony/child support payments and her many boyfriends. Gerry: Male Supporting Gerry is a Caucasian male in the age range of 24-26. Gerry is Alana's best friend who holds a secret love interest toward her but is afraid to pursue it. Gerry is the classic Nice Guy/Guy Next Door/Friend Zone type of man. Scott: Male Supporting Scott is a Caucasian male in the age range of 20-23. Scott is Alana's top "favor trader" who is frustrated with Alana's rules and wants more bang for his bucks. Scott is narcissistic, elitist, who believe everyone is beneath him. He works out regularly to maintain his athletic/muscular build. Jonathan: Male Supporting Jonathan is a Caucasian male in the age range of 16-18. Jonathan is Alana's first boyfriend and first love. Jonathan plays on Alana's vulnerabilities and discards her when his objectives are achieved. Extras All Genders. Age range 16-60.

Diamond Entertainment Productions is currently accepting headshot and resumes from non-union actors for its upcoming short film production tentatively entitled Alana. Filming is intended to begin late April/early May. Auditions are tentatively scheduled for early April. At this time, all roles are unpaid. Cast will be given on screen credit, copies of the film, and meals. Payments may be offered to Lead and Supporting roles in the future, but are not guaranteed.
